Fools and "Frauds" Survive, Idealists Leech or Die

"Only a fool or a fraud talks tough or romantically about war."

John McCain's opening line is his rejection of Homer, Virgil, and most of history's stories and tales of war. It is an embrace of leftism in the West that is designed to weaken the West in the face of its enemies. Historically talk of war has always been about glory, toughness and romanticism so as to motivate one's people for survival. Those people who find war too abhorent, or without honor and glory are people who will be forced to choose servitude, destruction or find a protector willing to do violence on their part. Mind you, just because all of history demonstrates this doesn't mean that it will always be true, but wishful thinking will not change this.
